Permanent skilled level position in the Mining sector in Rustenburg in South Africa (North West).
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
• Responsible for the planning activities in compliance with statutory and departmental requirements, the updating of mine development and stoping activities on the mines draughting system (Cadsmine), as well as constructing mine layouts for short and medium term planning and control purposes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Translate raw draughting information into acceptable quality plans and diagrams
• Produce copies of plans and diagrams as required.
• Updating of all DME plans in section or on shaft
• Monthly updating of mine’s/shafts area plans timeously.
• Compile ACC electronically mine design and scheduled plans. (monthly)
• Portray a true reflection of mining operations and geological features on plan.
• Import and export of electronic information from other systems.
• Stay abreast with latest technological developments.
• Contribute to Systems Development
REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12
• Passed basic CAD’s Mine Competence Assessments, suitable for the Role
• Draughting experience (CAD’s Mine/AutoCAD/ Data Mine draughting, design and schedule user experience)
• Should systems fail this person should be able to have the necessary draughting skills to do manual draughting.
• One years experience in a mining environment, preferably underground
• Minimum 1 years experience in a Planning Office, preferable in an electronic environment
• Suitable CadsMine /Micro Station course.
• Advanced Draughting certificate advantageous
• Advanced Survey / Geology / Rock Engineering certificate advantageous
• Business objects reporting
• Suitable legal knowledge
• Certificate of Fitness
