I&C Engineer - Process/Control/Instrumentation

World class engineering and design firm has immediate need for two Instrumentation and Controls Engineers at its suburban Bakersfield, CA location for a six month temp-to-perm position. Ideal candidate will have a BSEE, BSME or BSChE and 3 - 7 years experience in oil and gas upstream production surface facilities and treatment dealing with instrumentation and control requirements, working with RS logix 5000 & 5500, RS Stimulate 5500, Panel Builder, RS Networx for DeviceNet and Control net, RSView SE, InTouch for Wonderware and AB devices; knowledgeable of applicable codes like ISA,NEC, IEEE, API etc. Position will be responsible for developing and preparing process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID's), support filed process evaluations, control narratives, cause & effect charts, safe charts, instrumentation studies, automation / control systems diagrams, interfacing with electrical engineers to develop one-line diagrams, electrical area classification drawings, instrumentation and controls conduit cable schedules and other requirement as needed. Questions you will be asked:

• Describe your educational background and any certifications or licenses you may hold.

• Describe your I & C Engineering experience, where, types facilities worked on, complexity of systems.

• Rate your knowledge of ISA, NEC, IEEE, API and other applicable codes.

• What I & C software are you proficient with (RS logix, RS Simulate,Panel Builder, RS Networx, RS View SE, WonderWare) include versions.

• Are you knowledgeable of both PLC-s and DSC-s, what types?
