An Industrial Construction Leader in the US is interviewing for a Regional Vice President to oversee the clients construction divisions through out the United States. The right person will have 15 to 20 years experience managing large industrial construction projects and operations; particularly oil & gas and power industries. At a minimum a Bachelors in either Construction Management or Engineering is required. Your construction project experience must include extensive knowledge of financial operations: business development, marketing and estimating. Plus strong industrial experience in both union and open shop sectors. Senior management skills, exceptional planning, organizational and superior communication skills are a must. You will be responsible that districts achieve overall objectives and maximum operating results. This position will be responsible for short-term and long-range strategic plans that will be consistent with overall profit and growth objectives. Salary will be commensurate with experience and proven performance. Client offers excellent benefit package. A bonus structure based upon company performance is offered along with relocation assistance.
Questions you will be asked:

• Describe the high points of your 15+ years experience in managing large industrial construction projects, and ensure that your resumes has details of the projects.

• This position will require a construction background in the oil & gas and power industries. Describe how your background meets this requirement. What type of projects? Size of projects? As an example.

• Extensive knowledge of financial operations; business development and marketing; and estimating is a must. Describe your background and to the extent that you have been involved in the financial part of the construction business.

• A solid background in both union and open shop sectors is required. Describe the locations that you managed for each shop type.

• With a high profile position such as this. What is your management style? What is your planning philosophy for short and long term strategic goals? What is your strong suit?
