IMMEDIATE OPENING-Large water wastewater services company with locations in over 10 states has an opportunity for a Financial Information Systems Database Administrator for a temp to perm position in the Philadelphia area. This position will Design, Develop, Administer and Maintain database systems support of the company's financial systems and related policies. This primary emphasis of this position is database administration support of the PowerPlant application. Additionally, the incumbent will provide basic database administration support of Lawson, Hyperion, XRT, and Business Objects. Additional duties include provides Oracle DBA support and technical support for multiple applications in development, test, QA and production environments; program and debug SQLPLUS and PLSQL routines; perform regular administrative tasks such as database backup and restore, database analysis and tuning in a development and test Plan and coordinate database changes, installation of upgrades, patches and new versions. To be considered for this position you must have 6 years of Information Technology experience and 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience (this can be concurrent). Must have experience on AIX 5.2 or Sun Solaris or equivalent UNIX Platform. Four year degree in Computer Science / Information Technology is a plus.
Previous experience with implementing Financial Information System software is very desirable.. Oracle DBA certification is a plus. Working knowledge of PowerPlant and Lawson is a plus. • Have you worked closely with functional users? If yes - dealt with the problems directly or only phone support?
