Apply now for an August start! A worldwide leader in specialty medical products and services is seeking a degreed Mechanical Engineer for a direct hire position in NE metro Atlanta, GA. Candidate will work in a medical products R&D lab working on medical device development and prototyping, including CAD/CAM interface development for ultra-precision CNC fabrication systems using in lens, tool and mold design. Candidate will work on the translation of designs into G&M code (or equivalent) using manual translation, off the shelf CAM packages, or custom post-processing software. Candidate must be able to create CAD documents within ANSI GD&T standards at very high tolerances, & must have the ability to inspect and interpret problems with machined parts. Candidate must have solid modeling CAD exp, ( Pro/E Wildfire and Solidworks 2008 preferred) along with some programming capabilities using MATLAB / JAVA / C / C++. Any exp with ultra-precision fabrication of optics, hands on machining, project mgt., injection molded plastics, medical device, or CAM desired.
