Transmission Planning Engineer - Transmission Planning/PSS/NERC 38-50 $/hr

CO Transmission Provider/Operator needs a CONTRACT TRANSMISSION PLANNING ENGINEER with 3 years experience to work in their metro Denver, CO offices. The successful candidate will perform planning activities to produce comprehensive economical and reliable electric system transmission plans. The candidate will determine the required facilities using electric system models for powerflow and stability analysis, make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represent the organization in internal and external conferences and prepare written and oral recommendations to management level personnel. The position requires BSEE, 3+ years of demonstrated advanced skills and process knowledge in the area of bulk/regional transmission planning, verifiable understanding of NERC Reliability (TPL-001, TPL-002, TPL-003, TPL-004) planning standards and verifiable knowledge of Power Technologies Inc. (PTI) PSS/E power system analysis program. MSEE, EIT/PE, knowledge of WECC reliability criteria and PTI MUST program are helpful. Contract length 4-6 month, per diem available for the ideal candidate.

• Where do you live? What is your salary? Are you willing to work in Metro Denver for this contract?
