QA/QC Manager - QC/Construction/Site 90-120 K/yr

EPC client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Site QC Manager with 10-15+ years of construction field experience running quality assurance & quality control programs on large power plant construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience with coal fired boiler power plant construction projects. Our client prefers candidates with a BS degree in Engineering, but will accept candidates with equivalent experience. You need a good welding background and AWS-CWI and ASNT certifications are preferred. This position requires a broad understanding of engineering disciplines and construction activities associated with large power plant construction projects. Other requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse project team made up of personnel from the owner, consulting engineer, contractors, third parties, and local governmental agencies. Major responsibilities include developing site specific qa/qc procedures and managing the quality work performed by contractors on site. Other responsibilities include coordinating, administrating, and/or performing inspection activities, document control, and writing reports. Questions you will be asked:

• How many years of experience do you have as a QA-QC Manager on site at a large EPC power plant project?

• As a QA Manager on site, what is the largest power plant project have you supported? How long of an assignment? How many megawatts? How much money was the project?

• How much experience do you have supporting the construction of coal fired power plants?

• Do you have a solid welding background? Do you have an AWS-CWI or ASNT certification?

• Are you ok with working this long term project in Kansas City on a direct hire basis? What is your current base salary? What is your desired base salary?
