Our Mechanical/HVAC engineering client has an ACTIVE SEARCH under way for a Project Scheduling Coordinator (HVAC) in northern Virginia! The prime responsibility for this key position is to assist a project manager (and other managers as required) successfully coordinate a project using the required labor, equipment, engineering, materials, tools, and scheduling and subcontracted services. You will also assist with budget analysis and cost/margin projections, and estimate the impacts of project changes. Successful candidates MUST HAVE: a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or in Construction Management; at least 2 years closely related experience; proficiency in Primavera Project Management software; basic knowledge of HVAC design to include types of equipment utilized in the industry and general understanding of HVAC system operations (variable air, constant volume, refrigeration cycle), ability to read and interpret technical documents and CAD drawings (especially mechanical and plumbing), and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers and external clients.
