A major international oil and gas operating company has requested CCL to provide a Senior Drilling Engineer to provide direction and input to exploration drilling program in Deepwater Mediterranean Sea. Based in London area will report to the Wells Program Manager. Travel to / work in North Africa approximately 25 percent of time. 12-month (renewable) contract. Excellent internationally competitive daily rate.
University degree qualified in relevant subject. Must have IWCF well control, UKOOA Medical, Fire fighting and Survival Certification. Excellent communication / presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English. Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment, knowledge of Arabic a plus. Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Solid Drilling Engineering background with 10 years plus offshore, deepwater and remote operations experience. Responsibilities will include well engineering planning and subsurface interface, cost estimating, support rig and service strategy / tender process and support logistics set up. Will act as the single point of accountability for subsurface interface in the Appraise and Select time periods of well planning. Also provision well cost estimates, project budget estimates and formal AFE preparation; development Deepwater Rig Strategy and Implementation; preparation of regulatory requirements; preparation of well engineering Decision Support Packages and Basis of Design documents. Also the delivery of Drilling Programs and amendments / support of the contract tender and evaluation process / support the procurement and / or building of logistic base / support development of logistic strategy and contracts for necessary equipment. Liaison with service contractors for planning and support requirements.
