Great Opportunity! A leading designer and manufacturer of construction machinery in its specialized construction field is seeking an Engineering Department Manager with at least 10-years of engineering leadership experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Electrical, Mechanical and Controls Engineering Managers will report to you. You will provide operational controls to ensure manufacturing effectiveness and profitability, manage risk and provide internal and external customer satisfaction. Conferring with all manufacturing and marketing functions you will provide input for specifications, procedures and direction for R&D; plan, coordinate and direct projects; conduct feasibility studies; direct, review and approve product design and changes: and assist the sales department in contract preparation. Over about 40 employees, you will oversee their work and development, develop and implement policies, standards and procedures and perform all administrative functions. Detail oriented, organized and analytical, you must demonstrate effective leadership, experience and knowledge of modern management and administration. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good problem solving, decisionmaking and prioritization skills and be comfortable speaking in public. A 4-year Engineering degree is required, but a Masters degree is preferred. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
