A well established company located in the Houston, TX area has an opening for a Business Analyst that has financial and accounting forecasting modeling experience ideally within the refining, chemical, or petrochemical industries. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to managing the process of developing budgets and forecasts for the business unit(s), with emphasis on the P&L statement and working capital needs, to analyze and evaluate current financial performance against historical norms and current financial plan(s) to determine present and future performance, to recommend to business unit management business, operational and financial metrics that report performance against relevant Key Success Factors, etc. To be considered you should have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with 5 to 10 years experience or a Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with 5+ years experience. Client will consider candidates that have experience as a business unit accountant or financial accounting and analysis or that has worked in an analyst role with a refining, chemical, discrete manufacturing, or engineering and construction firm. Required competencies are expertise with capturing, verifying, and interpreting data, strong knowledge of financial & accounting concepts, business practices and financial statements, the ability to create financial models in excel, and a strong background in multi-dimensional database, i.e. SAP, Oracle. You must be willing to travel as required domestic and international as needed. Relocation is available for eligible candidates.

• Please list the degrees you have obtained from an accredited university? * How many years experience do you have as a business unit accountant or in financial accounting and analysis? Please describe.

• Please describe your experience preparing budgets and forecasts. Please describe your experience analyzing and evaluating financial performance.

• Please describe your experience making profit-cost-cash flow recommendations to management. Please describe your experience with project accounting. Do you have experience with Oracle? (this is not required, but desired)

• This position is located in our Houston, Texas office, if you are not currently living in the Houston metropolitan area, are you willing to relocate? Are you legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States? Do you require any type of visa or sponsorship? Please explain.

• What is your current or most recent annual salary (please break down base, bonus, etc.) and what is your desired annual salary for this position?
