Safety Engineer - OSHA Regulations/Field Safety/Inspector

Fortune 100 Client has a need for a Field Safety Inspector at their Richmond, VA location. This candidate will work under the direction of the Contractor Safety Manager assisting with the implementation and administration of on-site project safety programs. This candidate will conduct field audits and prepare written reports to be entered into a database for trend analysis. This candidate will conduct/attend educational meetings designed to instruct contract employees on matters pertaining to safety and health. This candidate will review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent injuries. This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in construction safety. Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations is required. This candidate must have the ability to recognize workplace hazards and implement measures to correct. This candidate must be able to work flexible work hours (nights, weekends, overtime). This position is physically demanding and will require working outdoors while exposed to all types of weather conditions (ex. Heat, cold, rain, snow). Candidate must be able to climb ladders and stairs. OSHA500 certification would be a plus.
