MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Chemical Engineering. Experience: Seven years experience in a substantive industrial, technological or laboratory area relevant to the jobs assignment. Excellent command of oral and written English with capabilities to write and present technical papers. Proficient in IT with excellent compute skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Be able to use and deal with operational equipment, such as pumps, process controllers etc. Ability to read & understand P&ID. Ability to troubleshoot operational problems. Have knowledge of refining processes and economics. Good understanding of fuel properties. Ability to work in lab and conduct experimental work. Ability to perform data and system analysis. Be able to articulate ideas in support of pilot plant operations. Demonstrate initiative, innovative, be self driven with high energy and commitment. Self motivated in terms of learning and independence of thought. Ability to work in diverse teams to achieve common objectives. Communicate openly and effectively.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and Development Center: Conduct pioneering research, introduce new technology and provide specialized technical services that will enhance Saudi Aramco profitability and productivity in a cost-effective, timely and collaborative manner. There are 8 projects identified within the R&D downstream program with the objective to protect the future market for oil: - Whole Crude Oil Desulfurization - Petroleum Combustion - Oil to Hydrogen - Carbon Management - Oil to Chemicals - Clean Fuels - Natural Gas Supply & Sulfur - Biotechnology
Research & Development Division hosts sophisticated pilot plant facilities that support relevant research, technology and specialized technical services. Currently there are around 11 units covering distillation, isomerization, alkylation, hydrotreating, hydrocracking, FCC and reforming processes. These units are used to generate useful data on feedstock quality and or catalysts performance.
