Location: Saudi Arabia POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs a wide range of industrial hygiene compliance activities for Saudi Aramco and associated facilities. Provides consultation in industrial Hygiene discipline for Saudi Aramco Organizations and to national and international organizations. This includes determining, evaluating, and recommending controls to eliminate environmental risks, to minimize the risk of exposures to hazardous chemicals, biological and radiation as well as to protect the environment from harmful pollution arising from Saudi Aramco and associated facilities. Initiates, plans and directs either routine or special studies of various disciplines as a team leader. Establishes objectives and methodologies; reviews data collected and analyzed by the team and prepares and presents final reports and scientific papers. The candidate must have extensive experience in Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene practice, preferably in petroleum industry (ventilation, toxicology, acoustics, ergonomics, chemical practice, hazard communications, environmental compliance, etc).
SELECTION CRITERIA: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or Engineering degree plus nine years of professional industrial hygiene, radiation protection or associated environmental activities experience. The candidate must be a Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH). OR Master Degree from an accredited institution in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or an Engineering degree plus seven years of experience in the field of industrial hygiene, occupational health, radiation protection or a related field. The candidate must be a Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH).
COMMENTS: Performs Occupational Health Hazard Assessments (OHHA) of all company operations and facilities to identify and mitigate risks. Administers the Hazardous Materials Communications Program (HAZCOM) in partnership with operating facilities in Saudi Aramco. Administers programs to protect employees from exposure to risk, such as Personal Protective Equipment, Noise and Hearing Conservation, and Fibrogenic Dust Protection. Performs hazard specific workplace monitoring, sampling and evaluation to ensure compliance with established standards Provides environmental consultations for all Saudi Aramco operations and facilities. Conducts environmental assessments and participate in quarterly safety inspections. Promotes local environmental awareness by organizing programs and workshops in coordination with PME and other government agencies. Assesses and monitors the water quality from source to consumer to ensure that the water is free from harmful bacterial and chemical contamination. Monitors solid waste disposal programs to ensure proper handling and disposal in order to protect public health and the environment. Conducts monitoring programs to protect the health and welfare of Company employees in Company facilities and contractor camps. Promotes Health hazard awareness at the workplace at SA facilities. Provides technical consultations pertaining to radiation protection. Developing radiation protection manuals, standards and guidelines. Promoting radiation protection awareness. Coordinating the implementation of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) management strategy in Saudi Aramco. Administering personnel dosimetry program to monitor Saudi Aramco radiation workers. Administering radiation protection examination for Industrial radiographers. Maintaining a central database of essential radiation protection records. Coordinating the efforts of Radiation Protection officers (RPO) in Saudi Aramco. Acting as a focal point of communication between Saudi Aramco users of radiation sources and government agencies in coordination with SA Affairs.
