SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd is based in Cardiff, Wales - Europe's youngest capital city. We offer a variety of interesting and challenging projects working from a capital city location. Many of our projects are of an international nature and utilise SRK’s international consulting network.

SRK (UK) currently has a vacancy for a Principal level Hydrogeologist. Candidates should hold a post graduate qualification in geology, geological engineering or hydrogeology, with experience of groundwater aspects of mining projects.

The successful candidate will manage and undertake studies related primarily to the mining industry, including the groundwater components of mine permitting, mine dewatering, water resources, slope stability and mine closure projects.

Applicants will also be computer literate and proficient in the use of specialist groundwater software and have excellent business development, technical and financial project management skills.

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of global projects and commodities, including feasibility studies and due diligence mandates. Overseas travel forms a large part of the role and knowledge of a foreign language would therefore be an advantage.
