IMMEDIATE NEED! Client in East Los Angeles, CA is actively looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the design and validation of mechanical and electromechanical products. The Engineer MUST HAVE a BS or MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the design of mechanical products and valve product design. Candidate should have experience in project management with both internal and external project development. Experience in the Fluid Power Industry (oil & gas, construction, mining, mobil hydraulics, etc.) is a plus! Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD system is required! Experience with FloWorks and Cosmos is a plus. Applicant must be able to travel domestically and internationally. Position requires the design, validation and commercialization of new products in support of the company's valve product line, which includes directional flow control valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, etc. The ideal person will have knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles which include, but not limited to: valve mechanical design (eg. Shear-Seal, spool, poppet, check, etc.); gear train (rack & pinion) and actuator (piston, solenoid, hydraulic motor, etc.) design; pressure drop, flow and stress computations; manufacturing engineering methods; material and component quality standards and specifications; statistical and reliability methods and techniques.
