IMMEDIATE NEED! A leading contract manufacturer of printed circuit boards and assemblies is actively searching for an entry level Configuration Engineer for their central Tennessee operation. Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree in EE/ET/ME/Comp Eng, or equivalent work experience in a technical field, and should have 2-3 years applicable experience in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring configuration identification, approved changes and releases are processed and distributed on a timely basis in accordance with company procedures and/or company requirements. This position will maintain configuration records and support the creation and maintenance of customer bills of materials (BOMs). In addition, this position will be responsible for component engineering support, part application, problem resolutions, failure analysis, and test evaluations. Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Excel are necessary, and Lean/Six Sigma certification or training is a plus. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills and strong influencing abilities, and minimal travel is required.
