An engineering client in Dallas needs a Pipeline Mechanical Engineer for contract work on a project lasting at least to the end of January 2009. Work involves design and development of equipment packages for petroleum pipelines, terminals, and pumping stations, including tanks, large bore pipe, distribution systems. Develop project scope, P&IDs, detailed equipment specs, complete engineering documentation. Must be experienced with API 650 atmospheric tanks, ANSI centrifugal pumps, truck loading equipment, vapor control equipment, filters, instrumentation, as well as applicable standards ASME, NFPA, DOT, OSHA, EPA. Need some CAD skills Bentley AutoPlant is a major plus. Requires at least a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering and up to 7 years experience with an EPC or end user. Local Metroplex applicants are preferred but per diem may be available for the right candidate. See also Job Order 72139.
