UDL Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a well established offshore engineering and shipbuilding company. Due to our rapid expansion in operations, we are seeking highly motivated and suitable candidates for the position of Commercial Manager to head its Ship Repairs commercial functions.

Commercial Manager in Ship Repairs
(Singapore - Jurong)

Requirements:
Duties and responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility for ship-repairing commercial function.
• Target and develop ship-repairing enquiries through marketing and networking.
• Prepare quotations and follow up with clients.
• Identify, assess and manage risks relating to the projects and which could impact the company.
• Secure ship-repairing contracts to meet performance targets.
• Liaison and negotiations with clients’ representatives.
• Regular planning and performance review, and reporting to management.
• Assist the General Manager in strategic and operational planning.

Experience:
• 10 years in shipbuilding of which 3 years in a senior management capacity.

Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in mechanical or marine engineering, or naval architecture.

Skills:
• Ability to secure ship-repairing contracts.
• Estimation skills in quotations and billing to clients.
• Understanding contract terms & conditions, and negotiation skills.
• People skills to lead and motivate team to carry out plans and meet targets.
• Client relationship management.

Remuneration:
• Shall be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and abilities.
• Performance linked bonus.
