Our chemical manufacturing client in south central Alberta Province is ACTIVELY SEARCHING for a self-starting, multi-tasking Maintenance Engineer! In this role, you will have overall responsibility for optimizing the utilization of plant assets by ensuring the highest level of equipment and process reliability. You will be the key contact in providing engineering expertise within the maintenance department, lead Root Cause Failure Analysis initiatives, and recommend and execute maintenance improvement projects.
Qualified candidates MUST HAVE a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline, EIT status, at least 3 years similar experience in an industrial environment (preferably chemical manufacturing) and practical experience in safety management skills and practices. Strong Pluses: PEng status, eligibility for AGEGGA registration, knowledge of vibration measurement and interpretation, thermography, infrared tools and techniques, pressure vessels, piping codes, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors and NDT inspection techniques.
