Engineering Manager - Alliance

Our client is a leading provider of professional engineering EPCM services to the energy, resource and complex process industries, whose success has resulted from outstanding project delivery for customers around the world.

They are seeking to appoint an Engineering Manager - Alliance with a proven track record of working in design on large client focused international, multi discipline projects in the Minerals and Metals Industry with 15 years conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design experience gained in the design office of a major engineering company.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Managing project engineering activities in Kazakhstan;
* Engineering leadership promoting HSE in design;
* Driving value improving initiatives in design;
* Managing technical integrity and QA procedures in engineering;
* Selecting and developing personnel resources in the field engineering group;
* Managing the implementation of project engineering plan ensuring adherence to engineering procedures and specifications for the execution phase of the project;
* Providing visible technical leadership for the project alliance management team on site;
* Managing the design approval process;
* Driving engineering key performance indicators;
* Manage scope and design change;
* Ensuring that design is fit for purpose and engineering is performed accordance with applicable codes and standards;
* Managing timely and informative progress measurement and forecasting in cooperation with the project controls manager;
* Ensuring, in cooperation with other project senior managers, that all components of the project are adequately resourced to do their jobs.

To be considered for this role, ideally you will possess:

* Engineering Degree;
* Russian language skills (highly desirable);
* Demonstrated success as an Engineering Manager.

This role will be required for the 2 year lifespan of the project and is offered on a FIFO basis of 6 weeks on 2 weeks off. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
