Our client is a leading Global Engineering and Management Consulting Company involved in providing a full range of technology-driven, value-adding solutions and services to clients in the mining, minerals, metallurgical, manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors worldwide.
They are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to support a large Nickel mining project in New Caledonia based on expatriate assignment for a 2 year period. Your ability to communication fluently in French is essential to this role. Expatriate conditions apply.
As HR Advisor on this project, you will need to quickly develop an understanding of the business environment and corporate culture to assist in the development and implementation of a HR function on the project. You will need to ensure complete integration and alignment where possible. Initially, there will be a strong focus on recruitment to resource the project.

Specific duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Project mobilisation, demobilisation and ongoing maintenance
* Recruitment & Selection (including induction)
* Employee Relocations - ground support (Domestic & International)
* Remuneration and Benefits,
* Employee Relations
* Organisation Development
* Leadership Coaching and Development
* Performance Management
* Career Development
* Conditions of Employment & Employment Contracts

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following attributes and skills:

* At least 5 years experience in a similar role is essential
* Must have the ability to speak French and English
* Experience in the co-ordination of International Assignments, preferred
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related field (or nearing completion of study)
* Must have an experience in Engineering Projects or similar
* Ability to interpret and advise on HR guidelines and procedures
* Ability to interpret and advise on Industrial Relations and Employee Relations legislation
* Understanding of current International Assignment matters
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
* Ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of the Human Resources Information system in SAP
