Responsibilities:
This key member of our worldwide support team will be responsible for managing all aspects of solution deployment, OEM integration and troubleshooting assistance, along with post-sales support. This position will manage the Field Applications staff, and reports to the V.P. and G.M. Mining. This individual must have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to manage and interface across various functional groups. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Develop strategy and tactics to support the sales and field-based needs of each product line of business, services required for project implementation and support as well as develop service business contributing revenue to the mining group.
• Develop standardize tool, process, training for field the world wide service team.
• Work with lines of business to develop customer training curriculum for delivery by field and on-line trainers
• Work closely with sales, operations and engineering teams to execute field based needs.
• Deliver timely and actionable feedback to sales, marketing and product development organizations on progress, milestones, new ideas and roadblocks to complete projects and achieve goals
• Liaison between field service and the rest of the organization for shared ideas and processes regarding quality service, and product innovations and promotions.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet the field service and business needs. Define roles and responsibilities, identifying opportunities for cross training
• Assist Sales and Marketing staff in a pre-sales role
• Travel to various regions around the world in support of sales efforts and industry events

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• B.A. or B.S. or 6 to 8 years equivalent management experience required
• Undergraduate degree in electrical, mechanical or mining engineering.
• 5+ years relevant management experience (preferably customer support, product marketing management, systems engineering in a Mining environment.)
• 5-7 years of field based experience.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience.

Desired Qualifications:
• 5+ years GPS solution experience in a mining environment.
• Experience in mining industry and/or with high-technology integrated systems solutions
• Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing.
• Fluency in a foreign language a plus.
