PIPELINE INTEGRITY ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

• Candidate will plan & implement all pipeline integrity activities including, but not limited to Integrity Pigging Surveys.

• Candidate will technically advise on the integrity status of pipelines as and when needed / asked to.

• Candidate will liaise with contractors & site to carry out Intelligent Pigging Surveys, report on progress, ensure all required data is acquired and properly saved for future use / reference and issue Integrity Status Summary Report.

• Candidate will frequently ensure the Company Pipeline Integrity Strategy is current.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manager the development and implementation of the PIMS.

• Advice and support on the development and implementation of PIMS related supporting systems, Pipeline Integrity Strategy, procedures and guidelines.

• Review and update related existing procedures, standards and practices to maintain the pipeline integrity through out their life cycle.

• Produce and ensure execution of the Intelligent Pigging (IP) in-line inspection master plan.

• In coordination with Inspection Engineer, to produce underwater mater inspection plan.

• Develop the IP scope of work, evaluate bids, and contract award.

• Manage the IP contact execution and ensure work quality, performance, performance, safety and efficiency. Validate the inspection findings, review, assets and evaluate the IP findings.

• Advise asset owners on lines integrity status. Issue related integrity certification Fitness For Purpose (FFP) and remaining life assessments. Issue related recommendations and future action plan / next inspection date.

• Develop Risk Based Inspection (RBI) scope of work, evaluate bids, contract award. Manage the development and implementation of the project.

• Provide technical advice and support to management and Business Units on pipeline integrity issues.

• Support Manager and Team Leader in concluding the department business plan and budget.

• Provide support to management in the TCM’s Facilities Integrity Workshop and performance reviews.

• Identify and develop pipeline long term replacement plan.

• Developing and coaching of UAE National developees /engineers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B. Sc. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Alternatively, B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum of 10 years experience in Oil & Gas. Minimum of 4 years experience as Pipeline Integrity Engineer. Offshore experience is highly appreciated.

• Well-versed in carrying-out inspection campaigns / pipeline projects.

• Preferably member of certified / professional inspection / pipelines bodies.

• Should posses: Team work skills, capability to strategize, analytical / decision making skills, knowledge of asset integrity management, knowledge of International Codes & Standards applicable to Inspection & Pipelines, capability in preparing “Scope of Work” of Inspection Campaigns or Pipeline Projects (as application per item 4 above), contract management skills. Project Management skills.

• Enthusiast, Dynamic, well-organized.

• Age: Below 45 years (preferable)

• International Oil Companies (IOC) experience is preferable.

• Fluent in English (read / write)

• Well-versed in IT & its application in relation to work requirement.
