Medical Device Manufacturer has an immediate opening for two Manufacturing Design Engineers in Northern California. This is a long term Contract Position.

Responsibilities:

-> Apply advanced technical principles, theories and concepts to develop Balloon expandable stents and catheters
-> Apply advanced technical principles on ePTFE / advanced polymer processing
-> Determines manufacturing operation requirements and process parameters, Develops advanced manufacturing systems and processes, Develops and implements strategic plans
-> Develops plans to evaluate process repeatability and stability, Develops product and process improvements, Improves manufacturing methods to optimize product performance
-> Completes Design History File documentation, Creates and delivers presentations throughout the organization, Participates in procedure writing and review, Performs deliverable checklist, Reviews product performance data to identify trends
-> Provides technical support to other engineers, Ensures compliance with GMPs, Generates documentation for engineering protocols and reports

Requirements:

-> Minimum5 years experience in medical device industry or biotechnology
-> Experience in the design and application of stent-graft covering materials such as ePTFE and its alternatives is highly desirable
-> BS degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Biomedical). Advanced technical degree is preferred
-> Minimum 5 years experience with BS degree, minimum 4 years experience with MS degree and minimum 2 years experience with PhD
