This mining company currently has a widely recognised resource and is now in the position to deliver expansion projects over the course of the next 2- 5 years. Their existing resource will deliver an excellent platform for the acceleration of new exploration and development that will potentially lead to 20 years of mineral production.
They are seeking a Safety Coordinator to manage and drive the Safety of the operation This role will see you hold responsibility for ensuring employees and contractors engage in safe work practices in compliance to relevant statutory and legislative requirements.
In achieving this, you will be involved in conducting safety audits, reviewing incident reports, and participating in effective liaising with site staff and safety representatives.
Success in this role will require:
• Relevant OH&S Qualification
• Certificate IV Training and Assessment
• Sound working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and regulations
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a mining environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
