Our client is globally recognised as a provider of operational information solutions, which span data acquisition and provision, control and safety, to offering industrial solutions. The client has designed and developed remote monitoring and control systems for the Utilities industries over the last 20 years. They have grown through acquisitions, organic growth, strategic alliances and product licensing.

As a result of this growth the client is looking to expand their team by recruiting a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing their our client's and their customer's products for a range of industries such as utilities and mining.

Some of your primary tasks in this PLC Engineer role will be:
Breakdowns, repairs, minor improvements and small enhancement projects
Responsible for the running of plant
Rostered 24 hour on- call emergency breakdown duties are included
Business Development

Skills required in this PLC Engineer role are:
Problem Solve, Good Diagnostic and Innovation skills
Time Management and the ability to work on your own or in a team
Proven advanced programming skills in a diverse range of PLCs and SCADA software including Siemens S5 & S7, Schneider Unity & Allen Bradley Control Logix Systems, Modicon 984 and Quantum, Citect SCADA, Wonderware and Cimplicity SCADA, is essential

You should have as a mimimum for this PLC Engineer role:
A relevant engineering qualification such as Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation
Proven track record of solving electrical/ technical issues in a automation industry
Clean drivers license with no penalty points
A licensed electrician
