Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of oil & gas industry experience.
University Degree in Engineering and member of APEGGA.
Strong development engineering and property evaluation skills required.
Team player who consistently demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
Practical and self-motivated with a business minded, entrepreneurial attitude.
Possess and demonstrate a keen desire to take on increasing responsibilities.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast paced business environment and to present results and recommendations to senior management on a timely basis.
Knowledge of oil & gas operations and facilities – field experience would be an asset.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Software skills to include: well & reservoir analysis, petroleum economics (proficiency with ValNav would be an asset), Accumap, Excel, Word, FieldView.
Responsibilities:
Reports to Manager.
With assignment of specific operating area(s) within the Alberta W5 to BC asset portfolio, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of development engineering and business strategy within that area.
Implementation of company strategy within corporate business plan.
Identify and implement development opportunities and reservoir depletion strategies.
Identification and evaluation of potential acquisition opportunities.
Work closely with production staff to optimize existing production.
Reserve management.
Prepare and manage production/operating/capital budget.
Prepare and deliver technical and business presentations to senior management.
Occasional field travel is encouraged.
