Qualifications:
5 years of relevant experience; oil and gas experience is preferred;
Experience with regulatory and environmental practices and procedures
Some understanding of oil and gas production facilities preferred
Willingness to travel to field locations
Familiarity with spreadsheets and calculations
Attention to detail
Good communication skills both verbally as well as written
Strong organizational skills and capability of working on multiple priorities at once
Responsibilities:
Data gathering and reporting for environmental and regulatory requirements
Provide support to field operations on data input to the RAMS (asset tracking) system
Work with outside consultant on data for preparation for CAPP environmental reporting
Provide support to team for all reporting requirements
Provide support to team for environmental and regulatory audits
Track regulatory changes
Support operations on regulatory compliance process
Opportunity:
The Environmental/Compliance Technologist position is new within the company and will report to the Manager, Regulatory and Environment.
The Regulatory and Environment group will be responsible to develop the processes to support Operations in meeting it’s regulatory compliance obligations (from permit application through drilling and production to abandonment and reclamation), and in setting the strategy and implementing the tactics to measure, mitigate, and report, our environmental impact.
You will play a key role in the overall regulatory review and compliance process, providing regulatory compliance support to Operations, as well as meeting both internal and external environmental reporting requirements.
You will work closely with other members of your team and with various people within Operations and across the organization.
