Summary Description of Duties:
Project Manager, JD Edwards Implementation
To assess current business requirements for JD Edwards software implementation at Kupol Mine, Russia, and perform necessary planning activity for such implementation including preparation of Project Charter and assessing needs, risks, resources etc
To oversee activities related to implementation of JD Edwards business systems and to ensure service and/or operating standards are met (internally and/or externally)
To design and develop processes, practices, and methodologies for the business systems
To ensure optimization of business systems performance, and adherence to industry regulations and organizational standards
To provide application support, internal consulting, and training for ERP modules during implementation phase
To provide input to IT-related business planning including, but not limited to, budgeting, scheduling, and workload planning
To lead implementation to successful completion (over a period of approximately 12 months)
To ensure timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders on the project-related processes, issues and measurements as per project management body of knowledge, as required
This position is based in Toronto, Ontario and reports directly to the Director, Project Management. There is 40-50% travel requirement for this role.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
To oversee activities related to systems, programs, and processes ln Business Systems
To analyze information and prepare technical documents to support decision making
To communicate Infomation related to business systems and to mentor others
To lead project teams and internal task forces
Qualifications:
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS
Fluent Russian is a requirement of this position
Bachelors degree in IT, MIS and I or related field
Formal training in Finance or Accounting is an asset
Proven success of lTIFinance systems implementation in the past
Three to five years of related work, implementation and converting business management processes to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or higher release levels
Three to five years experience with project management methodologies and fill cycle ERP implementation experience
A total of more than 8 years of related work experience in computing industry in diverse disciplines including, but not limited to, software, hardware, project management, systems design, and implementation
Previous supervisory experience
Ability to identify, define, interpret, and resolve complex technical issues
Ability to analyze and understand complex business processes
Previous experience influencing and effectively communicating with internal and external customers, vendors, project teams and senior management
PMP designation is an asset
English/Russian language skills are an asset
Exceptional organizational skills
Additional Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Additional specialized education of up to 4 years including a master’s level degree is an asset
Previous experience in the mining industry preferred
Ability to negotiate and manage contracts
Ability to learn quickly
Excellent analytical and planning skills
Ability to build relationship at all levels in an organization
Demonstrated ability to keep company information confidential
Ability to function within the qualifications outline in the attached physical demands sheets
Ability to travel frequently to Russian operations and offices
