My client provides project management, construction and maintenance services for water and wastewater infrastructure, including associated civil. They have a long history and a great track record in work on pumping stations, rising mains, carrier mains, trunk mains and reticulation networks as well as excavations and trench protection innovations for work associated with micro-tunneling, horizontal boring, electrical and telecommunications supply and rock mattress protection.

Due to consistent growth, a fantastic career opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer with this exciting and dynamic Civil Construction Specialist. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will hold a Bachelor of Engineering and have previous construction experience. You will possess strong interpersonal, client management and cost control skills as well as have the ability to prepare and maintain programs. The successful Project Engineer will also be required to have tendering processes and procedure knowledge and most importantly the ability to deliver a quality product on time and within budget.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

Have budget preparation and report, liaise and negotiate with clients and suppliers;
Organise, design and implement temporary works and infrastructure, as required; Prepare work packages, documentation and quality requirements for tender by potential subcontractors;
Evaluate subcontractors to ensure capacity and capability to carry out the work.
A demonstrated ability to problem solve issues and apply engineering concepts to practical situations will ensure your success in this role.
