The Company
Our client was founded in 1962 in Perth. They have grown strongly over the last four decades and thrived through a number of different property and economic cycles.
They are split into four components, construction, funds management, property development and facilities management. The Project
You will be concentrating on a number of educational upgrades up to the value of $5m. The project comprises of upgrades and refurbishment works up to the value of $4m, to enhance operational capability, reduce operational costs and improve the overall environment
The Role
An opportunity currently exists on the project for a Site Engineer responsible for construction and refurbishment, provide technical planning, support and reporting to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Co-ordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
Monitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
Manage technicians, site supervisors and contractors. Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
The Person
You will be required to have relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2 - 3 years previous experience construction experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of building / engineering processes and relevant technical areas/technology.
Experience with working with on a major project in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
