Experienced in the siting, layout, design and line surveying of electrical distribution/transmission systems you are looking for a role that will provide you with all of the above and a genuine career opportunity. You role will be to survey and develop a range of transmission and distribution projects.

Involved in the development of various electrical distribution and transmission networks, you not only understand line design considerations, you can effectively communicate your ideas and experience to your team and associated departments.

Liaising closely with other business areas including, drafting and design, you may have experience in either or both of these areas as well, you understand the complex considerations of line layout, land access, land ownership, overhead and underground line usage, substations as well as geographical.

Your role will also involve the development of comprehensive surveying standards, development of less experienced within your team and scheduling of field surveying tasks.

You have a comprehensive understanding of surveying equipment from Laser Levels and rangefinders to Theodolite’s and Mobile GPS. Tertiary qualified in power engineering, surveying, geographical science or related discipline, you have at least 5 years experience in the surveying with at least 2 years in power lines, transmission, distribution including substations, surveying/design.

Experienced in a safety critical environment, you are not only business and customer focussed but your attention to detail is second to none. Organised and able to influence at all levels, you are autonomous, yet able to take on the responsibly this role requires.

An understanding of local standards including AS 60038 and AS4676, would be a distinct advantage.

Prior experience within the construction, contractor, consultant market or with other electrical distribution/transmission, authorities/builders ideal.
