Our client, a mining company in the Middle East, requires a Metallurgist, Plant, to conduct process control and metallurgical tests to determine mineralogy, arrange parameters, apply re-agents and recommend improving equipment specifications to optimize recovery levels of minerals. Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, the post holder will also perform metallurgical feasibility tests on ore samples, conduct grindability tests to determine hardness of the ore and its effect on the milling rate and inspect and determine screen efficiency for maximum plant throughput.
Free medical service, furnished bachelors’ accommodation and recreation facility, meals and local transportation are provided at the mine site. This is a 2 year renewable contract.
The successful candidate will ideally have a BSc in Metallurgical, Mineral or Chemical Engineering plus have 5 years' experience in metallurgical work in the mining industry.
