We are currently partnered with one of the world's largest producer of zinc as well as a substantial producer of copper, lead, gold and silver. This company has mining interests across Australia and Asia and a large portfolio of advanced and early stage exploration projects in Australia, Asia and North America.
Due to rapid expansion, one of Queensland's flagship open cut mining operations now has a requirement for a Drill and Blast Engineer.
A person with both well developed technical skills and personal attributes would be ideal for this role. Duties will include the following:
• Developing blast designs for multiple sites
• Conduct reviews and develop recommendations to improve blasting performance
• Ensure high standards of safety are always upheld
• Provide technical support to site based personnel
• Assist with business development activities and the fostering of client relationships
