A rapidly expanding engineering firm, specialising in the design and fabrication of world class pressure vessels, are expanding their South Australian operations. Serving a wide range of clients within petrochemical, mining and heavy industries, our client is known for their quality of products and service. Due to strategic growth of Australian operations, a new position has been created for Design Engineer in the Adelaide business.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will see you responsible for the many different facets of mechanical design engineering. You will be responsible for undertaking accurate design calculations, detail design of pressure vessels and support structures, in addition to fabrication drawings from client issued data sheets and specifications. You will also work closely and assist with other departments in special projects and competitive tender submissions.

You will have extensive working experience in pressure vessel design, along with the many different areas of mechanical detail design and project management. You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia) and a comprehensive knowledge of industry codes and standards (i.e. AS1210, ASME VIII & TEMA).
