abiru Metals Ltd (“Jabiru”) is an ASX listed Australian based mining and exploration company currently mining at the Jaguar Operation and further developing the Jaguar/Teutonic Bore Exploration Project (VMS - Zn, Cu, Ag), located 60km north of Leonora in Western Australia’s NE goldfields region.

Jabiru is in the process of defining and developing the exciting new Bentley discovery, which will form the basis of an extended life for the Jaguar Operation. At the same time an ongoing exploration programme is underway to locate and develop the next deposit within a belt of highly prospective rocks.

Jabiru’s exploration budget is in excess of $10 million per annum, with a significant proportion of this funding to be expended at Jaguar. Jabiru also has exploration projects in north-eastern Victoria, and in the Murchison and Pilbara regions of Western Australia, and is actively looking to increase their portfolio with other quality projects with a long term view to becoming a significant base metals producer.

Expressions of Interest – Exploration Project Manager

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified Geologists who have proven leadership and management experience and have a desire to manage our flagship exploration project.

The successful applicant will be involved in and responsible for;
Safety, Health, and Environment systems, processes and reporting; Resource Management – contractor, equipment and personnel; The development of practical systems and procedures to comply with statutory and company reporting requirements; The coordination and management of all contractor relationships; Budget and expenditure control. Strategic planning and timely achievement of agreed goals. To achieve this you will;
Be an experienced exploration Geologist; Have a strong background in mentoring and project managing an exploration focused workforce; Have significant experience in developing/maintaining workable systems and processes; Have excellent time management and planning skills; Work effectively with operational, management and exploration groups for a common goal; Be highly regarded by your peers. This is a key role within the company and a salary/roster package will be negotiable commensurate with the importance of the role. The successful applicant will work a combination of regular FIFO rotations as well as ad hoc field work.
