Principal Civil Engineer -Technical Lead: Water/Waste Water

This role will initially revolve around the Barwon Water project to secure water supply for the Geelong region. The Northern Water Plant is one of three major capital investment projects being undertaken with this aim in mind with part funding from federal and state governments. This is a new style of development for the Australian industry as it is backed by Shell making it public and privately owned and well resourced to provide access to the latest water technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled design engineer with extensive water/waste water treatment plant experience to take on this new development in Melbourne. This whole office is geared towards water infrastructure projects and really needs somebody that wants to participate as a permanent key member of the team beyond this project. For this reason a close knit collaborative approach to team delivery will be key to your approach.

The technical aspects of the role will span project management, conceptual design, detailed design, preparation of specifications and contract documentation as required as well as construction supervision of major water engineering and infrastructure projects. There will be a particular emphasis on supply, treatment, delivery and storage systems and related infrastrucutre for potable water systems. You will also get involved as a principal in commissioning, feasibility studies, planning and tender assessment.

This is one of the few leading principal roles available in the market at the moment so definitely worth all enquiries from 15 year plus industry players. Relevant tertiary qualifications, an Australian industry networking capability and an ability to work closely with juniors will make it easy to secure this role.
