Qualifications:
Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering.
5-10 years experience in reservoir engineering roles.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be reservoir engineering and field development planning for Foothills sour gas fields.
The successful candidate will work very closely with a team of geoscientists and development engineers to prepare suitable reservoir models to evaluate various development scenarios and participate in the implementation of these proposals.
Responsibilities could also include technical mentorship and project management.
Requirements:
Reservoir engineering experience is a must, preference for gas experience
Reservoir Simulation
Field development planning (knowledge of various completion/depletion strategies)
Pressure transient analysis in fractured reservoirs
Horizontal well modeling
Thrust faulted, fractured carbonate reservoir performance
Team player & leadership qualities
Independent technical worker
Decision making
Problem solving and resolution
Understanding economic models
Familiar with regulatory bodies and joint ventures is an asset.
Working knowledge of Alberta's freehold and crown leases.
