Geotechnical Engineer - Oil/Geology/Geophysicist 100-200 K/yr

A global Oil & Gas company, leading the way with innovative applications of seismic processing techniques, is actively seeking a Geophysicist, working from the Houston, Texas office.

Responsibilities:

-> Work with a multi-disiplinary exploration team
-> Integrate geophysical data with geological data, petrophysics and engineering information
-> Integrate seismic stratigraphic frameworks with sequence stratigraphy from well data
-> Interpret both 2D and 3D seismic information

Requirements:

-> The successful candidate will have a MSc or PhD in geology or geophysics
-> 2-7 years of active work experience in the oil industry or academia as professional geophysicist
-> Experience in using standard industry software, (Petrel and Landmark products)
-> Experience with regional structural and seismic stratigraphic mapping
-> Good teamwork and communication skills
-> International travel required
