Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Mine Surveyor for its Kensington Gold Mine located in beautiful Juneau, Alaska.
Responsibilities:
&#56256;&#56510; Properly apply surveying procedures and standard practices and ensure accuracy.
&#56256;&#56510; Track & report progress.
&#56256;&#56510; Provide line & grade for all development and drilling.
&#56256;&#56510; Provide as-built surveys for all excavation, long-hole drilling & diamond drilling.
&#56256;&#56510; Provide survey data in electronic format to Engineering.
&#56256;&#56510; Coordinate activities with mine operations.
&#56256;&#56510; Provide survey support to surface operations as needed.
&#56256;&#56510; Assist with Engineering projects; pull testing, ventilation tests, and other special projects.
&#56256;&#56510; Adhere to Company environmental and safety policies and procedures.
Education and Experience: A Bachelors Degree in Mine Engineering, Civil Engineering or related mine surveying experience preferred with a vast knowledge of surveying methods in an underground mine. The candidate must be proficient in computer and surveying software. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, flexible and able to work at a remote camp environment. MSHA certification is required.
Coeur Alaska Inc. is a drug free work place. The successful candidate must pass a post offer physical and drug test.
