Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Maintenance General Foreman located at the Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Essential Functions:
> Oversee the Kensington Mine underground maintenance department.
> Develops mobile maintenance programs to ensure policies and procedures are implemented.
> Coordinate and communicate with other department’s repair of vehicles, maintenance scheduling, inspections and planning of related activities.
> Responsible for cost savings, more efficient operations, personal and professional development of maintenance supervision and their crews.
> Prepare weekly, monthly and annual maintenance reports.
> Maintain departmental budget and coordinate contracts for repair services.
> Promote the concept of quality and active employee involvement to ensure Coeur Values are met (Safety, Environment, Integrity, Dedication, Respect, Teamwork, Communication and Growth).
> Responsible for carrying out departmental goals, and supporting Coeur Alaska Inc. environmental and safety policies.
Experience: Technical degree in diesel technology preferred, in lieu of a degree 10 plus years of proven supervisory experience will be taken into consideration. Advanced knowledge of mining-related equipment, hydraulics and maintenance procedures and practices. Candidates must demonstrate leadership and problem solving skills; effective verbal and written communications skills are required for this position. The ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships with all levels of Company employees are essential.
