Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Essential Duties:
> Responsible for benefits administration and maintenance of HRIS system.
> Maintain applicant tracking system and tracks the recruitment process.
> Arranges pre-employment physical and drug testing, tracks and maintains the employee personnel and benefits files and related forms.
> Prepares new hire orientation material and coordinates induction schedule.
> Present Company benefits and policies to new employees.
> Coordinate and organize job fairs, prepare materials, assist with college recruitment and related workforce development programs.
> Assist human resources manager with employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, training, and planning of the Company picnics and related family/employee events. Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field preferred. Previous work related experience will be given in lieu of a degree. The successful candidate must be an energetic, self starter with 4-5 years Human Resources experience as a generalist. PHR certification preferred. Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, HRIS system and PowerPoint required. The chosen candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of state and federal employment labor laws is required for this position.
We offer a competitive wage and benefits package. This position will be required to commute daily to the Kensington Mine once in production and must be able to stay overnight at camp to assist employees and staff when required. Coeur Alaska Inc. is a drug free work place. The successful candidate must pass a post offer physical, and drug screening.
