Coeur Alaska is recruiting an Electrical General Foreman for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Responsibilities
Establish and enforce safety procedures through development of standard operating procedures and proper training of electricians.
Coordinate electrical /instrumentation maintenance with other departments and ensure all electrical maintenance is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Supervise electricians and oversee the technical related progression program to ensure development and skills of the workforce are met.
Promote the concept of quality and active employee involvement to ensure Coeur Values are met (Safety, Environment, Integrity, Dedication, Respect, Teamwork, Communication and Growth).
Oversee the departmental budget and develop solutions to improve maintenance related projects.
Ensure the necessary tools, supplies; and equipment are available to provide exemplary support services to the operation.
Complies with safety, environmental and Company policies and procedures.
Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related field and 3 - 5 years of directly related experience preferred. Solid Microsoft computer skills are required. Experience with PLC, Circuit Design, Wiring, Electrical Theory, National Electric Code, MSHA regulations, and Blueprint design are preferred. Ability to work independently and to accept responsibility and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature; flexible. Good reasoning abilities; well organized; and must work well under pressure.
