Location: Kansas City, KS, USA
A well respected client located in the Central United States is currently search for an Electrical Transmission Design Engineer. The engineer will use your past experience and knowledge to design new transmission and substation systems. This corporate position with a company that invest in its employees for the long run.

Responsibilities:

-> Line routing, structure design and selection, conductor evaluation, structure spotting/survey
-> Preparation budget estimates and preparation of labor and material specifications, construction drawings with bills of material and construction contract documents
-> Occasionally coordinates projects between other departments and work locations requiring day travel
-> Conducts failure investigations, reviews projects that impact existing or planned transmission facilities and develops and implements new technologies
-> Periodically meet with customers

Requirements:

-> Must have a BSEE degree
-> A PE with 8 years of experience is strongly preferred
-> Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheets, word processing and database software
-> You must be able to read and understand technical documents including schematics, line drawings, logic diagrams and safety materials
-> Must be able to work in a team environment and guide the team to successful conclusions
-> Must have a good understanding of National Electric Safety Code NESC
-> Must be able to understand and use PLSCADD
