Looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer that specializes in Bridge Design. The position is located in the Winnipeg area.
Responsibilities:
-> Preliminary and detailed design of bridges and other civil structures
-> Cost estimating, checking of designs and drawings, review of shop drawings, specifications and contract document preparation, structural assessments/inspections and preparation of reports and proposals
Requirements:
-> Professional Engineer 5+ years demonstrated experience in the area of structural design and bridge engineering with a recognized consulting engineering firm
-> Seismic design experience an asset
-> Superior technical understanding, design abilities and current on bridge technologies
-> Working knowledge of software used for structural analysis in design such as SAP, SFrame, etc
-> Specific areas of expertise required are in the planning, preliminary and detailed design, and construction of bridges of standard and complex geometry, and culverts. A thorough knowledge of current design codes and standards is essential
-> Experience with design of rehabilitation of existing structures
-> Experience with bridge condition surveys and construction phase structural liaison
