Requirements
Between 8 and 15 years postgraduate experience. Ideally, candidates will possess a good basic knowledge of rail systems and the rail industry and general experience in, Permanent way and track design and maintenance, Bridges and Structures, Earthworks and Drainage, Stations, buildings and depots and Multidiscipline projects. Ideally candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in project development, design, construction and maintenance. Responsibilities
Assist the job manager in the delivery of a wide range of commissions. Typically, projects may include strategic planning studies, feasibility studies, concept and detailed design projects, and reviews and operational studies. There will be significant emphasis on the development and delivery of multidiscipline projects in all rail-based technologies Provide technical design expertise into projects as required and assist in the management of support staff as required by the Regional Rail Technical Director. When required, assist the Regional Rail Function Group Leader in developing the organisations Rail Consultancy both locally and nationally.
