THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil and gas operating company to provide a Technical Training & HR Manager, bi-lingual in English and French. Emphasis is on the technical training aspect of role with HR experience being secondary, but necessary. Based in Southern Algeria on a one year (renewable) contract, rotation 28/28. Long term single status with good prospects. Camp facilities are of a high standard. Medical insurance, including medivac, is provided by CCL. Algerian tax is paid by the Client. This is a long term assignment with good prospects.
THE PERSON
Technical background with experience of training / developing engineers / technicians. Experience within the oil and gas industry and working in a remote hardship locations. Identify training needs: Design / implement competency-based training / development programmes / nationalisation programme for Algerian national personnel; job holders are typically in first line technical disciplines, maintenance / project engineering roles; Review / evaluate effectiveness based on agreed company standards, carry out gap analysis for national personnel; Monitor performance appraisals to identify, analyse, design / implement necessary training follow up; Provide internal consultancy to establish / maintain national personnel manpower / succession plans; Supervise Training & HR function. Liaise with UK office for matters impacting expatriate personnel. Advise General Manager on HR issues
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Educated to degree level, preferably a technical degree. Professional Trainer. Excellent verbal & written communication skills and presentation skills. Knowledge of HR practices. All nationalities will be considered. Fluent written & spoken English and French is MANDATORY.
