Located on Tasmania's West Coast, this historic operation is a key player within the Tasmanian mining sector and is currently well positioned for a bright and lengthy future. Recently upgraded and refurbished, this underground operator is currently seeking a Production Engineer to drive the mines production and provide strong operational support to the Senior Production Engineer and Mining Manager. The appointee will be pivotal to the success of the mines production and as such, requires a candidate with a strong resolve and even stronger capacity to manage resources and labour. This opportunity will see you coordinating technical inputs from planning engineers, production personnel and mine surveyors, whilst producing drill and blast patterns to meet short-term production needs. This position will see you heavily involved in all aspects of mine production, including optimisation of underground drill and blast operations and facilitating the achievement of production targets. This hands-on position requires a confident engineer with a sound technical understanding but more importantly, one who can get the job done. The successful applicant will be a tertiary qualified mining engineer, with proven underground production experience. This is a residential or DIDO position, offering above market salary package and relocation contributions.
