Procurement Specialist - Procurement/Construction/Project

IMMEDIATE NEED!!......Client is looking for a Purchasing Specialist or Jr. Buyer with 2-5+ years of relevant experience for a 12-18 month long contract assignment in the Somerset, NJ area. The ideal candidate will have exact experience as a Purchaser/Buyer involved with buying services for the Utility Industry or Heavy Industrial (power, process, etc...) Construction projects.

Responsibilities:

-> Help initiate and coordinate procurement activities for all services
-> Help prepare bid packages
-> Evaluate bids
-> Issue appropriate contracts and purchase orders
-> Minimal work identifying new vendors
-> Gather technical drawings

Requirements:

-> Experience supporting Construction or Engineering projects or in the Utility (gas & electric) Industry
-> SAP experience is a PLUS

• Detail your purchasing or buying experience supporting work or projects in Construction, Engineering or the Utility industry. Where you buying services? (not materials)

• Detail your experience preparing bid packages, sending out bids, evaluating bids, & awarding the work.

• Detail your experience with gathering technical drawings.

• Do you have any SAP experience?

• Are you local to North Eastern New Jersey, near Somerset NJ? How far of a commute would you have to Somerset?
